It says in Isaiah 43:19, "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
In this verse the Prophet Isaiah is speaking to a nation in captivity. The Israelites are held captive by the nation of Babylon, and yet in their captivity Isaiah asks an audacious question. “Do you not perceive it?”
See, often in life we can be held captive by our situations and circumstances. It could be that there's chaos at home and your parents are talking about a divorce, It could be everyone always told you that you were nothing and now you feel like nothing; Its these moments that can take our mind captive. We end up a prisoner of our situation feeling as if their is no way out. But church, today I want to ask you a question... do you see it? See even when we feel captive by your situation, God has made a way out for you. Jesus died on the cross so you no longer have to be captive but in fact you can walk in freedom. When you realize you're no longer a slave you can walk like a child of God. Though your situation might be barren like the wilderness, God's presence brings life like a stream. This is where revival starts: when we realize that God made a way for us. Do you see it?
Prayer: God give me new vision so I can see clearly what you have done for me. Thank you for making a way for me, so that i may walk in freedom, no matter my circumstance. In Jesus name, Amen.
